A Little Model #360 News (UPDATED 8/16/18)

Just a quick update on the Model #360 puzzle.

I am sold out on my first batch but plan to produce some more this weekend. My apologies if you went to my Etsy store and couldn’t find the puzzle – try again next week.

The good news is you can also buy them in person or online at Eureka! Puzzles in Brookline, MA, USA

Also, I shipped some to my good friends at:

Oy Sloyd Ab in Vaasa, Finland

PuzzleMaster in Saskatoon, SK, Canada

So they should have them in stock soon. I will update this page with product links once they go live.

That’s it for now. Puzzle on, Wayne! Puzzle on, Garth!

July 11th, 2018 UPDATE:

As many of you probably know, I’ve been having trouble keeping my Etsy store stocked so to all of you who have had to keep reloading the listing page, I really appreciate your patience! I just added nine more and have parts for another fifteen or so.

Also, earlier this week, Mike Desilets posted his review of the Model #360 and an interview with me over at Kevin Sadler’s awesome puzzle blog, PuzzleMad. (And as usual, his pictures are much better than mine.) Thanks for the encouragement and support, Mike!

August 16th, 2018 UPDATE:

It happened sooner than I expected but I have sold all 100 of the Model #360’s I made – they went fast! As of this writing only Oy Sloyd Ab has any left. The #808 sold out in three months and the #360 in two months so it’s clear I should plan on making more than 100 of my next puzzle. I have two ideas that I’m getting excited about so hopefully I will be able to post on Model #??? in the next month or two.

Thanks to everyone for their interest in my puzzles! It is incredibly gratifying to hear feedback, both positive and negative, from puzzlers who have spent time playing with them. And I will try to put that feedback to good use on my next design.

  1. I’ve been searching everywhere for a 360.. could you please sell me one or put me on your list of NEXT happy customers? I’m from Singapore and there are zero puzzle shops here so its REALLY hard for me to get my hands on ANYTHING… everything is sold out by the time i click.. sigh…

I don’t even have your 808…IT’s also impossible to find. Please throw a dog a bone… cheers

    Thanks!

    Conrad

    • Hi Conrad,

Sorry they’re so hard to find. Going forward I plan to make more than 100 when I come out with a new puzzle.

I sent you a long email at the email address you gave in your comment but it doesn’t seem to have gone through. You can reach me at my email address, eye en eff oh at-sign pea why are eye gee aye en dot see oh em. That way I can put your email address on my mailing list (when I finally get around to creating one!).

  2. Thanks so much for helping me out.. i am extremely grateful!
The #360 is truly a beauty… and honestly, i have been cracking my head trying to figure out how to open it.. i have lost many a hair but your puzzle still yields no clues…i just had a sip from a diet coke mug (like those at Mc Donalds) and the slushing of ice cubes inside reminds me of the sounds inside the puzzle and i’m guessing if i can figure out the number of crushed ice inside, i’ll figure out the #360….(not!)…

To everyone else, this truly is a great piece of work.. the tolerances are so high and nothing really gives! makes it even harder! (I solved the lotus puzzle – difficulty 10 in 3 hours… but this one eludes me!)..

I’m enjoying every frustrating minute of it…and i’ll let you know when i run out of hair… and beg for the solution..

    • Thanks for the kind words! I’m flattered to have the Model #360 compared to Wil Strijbos’ Lotus puzzle – it’s one of my favorites.

Glad you’re having fun with it!

  3. I guess I am one of the lucky ones to have obtained an original #360. It sits on my TV table and has been handled for many a time. Unlike most of my collection, I have adopted a relaxed, whatever attitude – nowhere near finding the initial step and in no real hurry to do so. It is so satisfying to pick up and handle that I figure I will be passing it on to my two very clever and imaginative sons at some point, probably unsolved.

    • Thanks for your interest! I don’t have a mailing list yet but when I start one I will certainly add your name to it.
